1)CFD Application for Analysis of Thermal-Hydraulics during flow ofHeliumGas in Sphere packed (Pebble Bed) in a Rectangular Box (Canister) 
About the project: Typically in Lithium ceramic pebbles, Helium gas is flown to sweeps tritium from the canister. If the flow and temperature distribution are not optimized, then that will lead to high pressure drop and poor removal of tritium gas from the chamber. This study would indicate the optimized design of manifold which can be adopted for nearly uniform flow in the canister. In this work, numerical models for Lithium ceramic pebbles packed in canister will be developed and the flow field and heat transfer behaviour will be evaluated. 
Senior Research Fellow: (1 Post) Eligibility : B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics is required with two year relevant experience. 

Knowledge on a commercial software package is desirable. 


Salary : Consolidated salary Rs.28000/- p.m. + HRA
Job Profile : This work involves computational study. The project is for 2 years. Following requirements are: 1. Knowledge on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Computational Fluid Dynamics is required. 2. Knowledge on a commercial software package is desirable.
